James Westropp and his Welsh Guards complete an endurance triathlon for Everyman

In March 2007, members of the Welsh Guards conducted an endurance triathlon from their current Theatre of Operations in Bosnia, to their base in Westminster, Central London. This required a 1300 mile cycle going through the Alps and eight European countries, a sea kayak for 26 miles over the channel, and on arrival at Dover, three consecutive marathons over three days on their move to London. For more information on their challenge including a personal account of their journey, please visit their website www.ironguardsman.co.uk
All ten members of the team were tested on their mental and physical endurance and their ability to work as a team whilst under pressure.

We welcome back all the members who participated in this endurance test and are delighted to announce that the Ironguardsmen have raised £10,000 to date for Everyman. If you would like to support their fundraising efforts please click here
