B*ll*cks To Cancer!

  • Artists from Paul Weller to The Stereophonics, The Rakes to Hundred Reasons Lend Their Songs to a CD in Aid of Everyman

  • CD Out 24 July, Available in Virgin Megastores at £4.99

19 July 2006

Ten top music artists including Paul Weller, Stereophonics, The Rakes and Hundred Reasons have joined together to say "B*ll*cks to Cancer!"

They've lent their support and donated some 'crown jewel' songs to the B*ll*cks to Cancer CD in aid of the Everyman Male Cancer Campaign, released Monday 24 July 2006. All profits from the CD - available exclusively from Virgin Megastore, priced at £4.99 - will go to the charity. The CD can also be downloaded at www.virgindigital.com.

The B*ll*cks to Cancer CD has been put together by Virgin Money, the innovative insurer behind 'Big V' Cancer Cover, which launched earlier this year.

Trevor Field, Marketing Director for Virgin Money says "We're proud to support Everyman. We hope this CD will raise a lot of money and awareness for Everyman - and help the charity's mission to cross out male cancer."

Alison Morgan from The Everyman Campaign commented "We're delighted that all these great artists have donated tracks for this fantastic CD. Prostate cancer kills one man an hour in the UK and testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young men. This CD is a great way for music fans to help us raise money for vital research."

Hundred Reasons are also playing a one-off private gig to support the launch at Virgin Megastore Liverpool on Monday 24 July at 7.30pm.

Wristbands for the gig are only available on purchase of the CD at the Liverpool store from 9am on Monday 24 July.

Hundred Reasons say "We're proud to be a part of this great project - join us in saying B*ll*cks to Cancer!"
