How much does it cost?
Everyman was launched in 1997 and initially raised funds to help set up the £3million Everyman Centre – Europe’s first and only centre dedicated to research into male cancer. We now have to raise £1.7m each year to support the life-saving work that our scientists inside the centre are carrying out.
To give you an idea about how such a massive figure is broken down, we’ve included a mini shopping list of some of our costs below. Every gift we receive in support of the campaign is important to us, regardless of size, as a donation can help us in so many ways.

£25 pays for us to store 4 tumour samples for analysis.
£60 buys a statistics package for our epidemiologists to use to analyse their research results.
£100 pays for us to to store 6,000 blood samples each
year.
£120 pays for two specially treated plates our chemists use to screen compounds against targets in their search for anti-cancer drugs.
For more information on how you can make a donation to Everyman please hit the donate button at the top right of the screen. And because 95% of our total income goes directly on cancer research, you can be sure that your support really will make a difference.
